Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Boomn collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our social commerce platform, creator tools, livestream and messaging features, payment features, AI features, websites, and progressive web app.
Information we collect
- Account details such as your name, email address, username, authentication provider, profile photo, role, interests, occupation, and onboarding preferences.
- Content you choose to create or share, including posts, captions, comments, event details, profile information, uploaded media, messages, reports, and moderation context.
- Creator and business activity such as Boomn Studio drafts, scheduled content, platform connection metadata, analytics preferences, subscriptions, and monetization settings.
- Payment and wallet activity such as wallet balances, transfers, payment intent identifiers, subscription status, checkout sessions, invoices, and withdrawal requests. Card and bank details are handled by payment processors such as Stripe, not stored directly by Boomn.
- Device, app, and usage data such as log-in state, notification tokens, app install state, browser storage, Firebase diagnostics, crash or performance data, IP-derived security signals, and how you interact with feeds, search, events, livestreams, calls, and messages.
- Advertising and ad measurement data such as page context, device/browser information, approximate location, ad impressions, and interactions collected by advertising partners where ads are shown.
- Permission-based data such as camera, microphone, notification, and media access when you enable features that need them.
How we use information
- Provide core features including accounts, profiles, feeds, discovery, networking, messages, notifications, events, livestreams, calls, wallet actions, subscriptions, and Boomn Studio tools.
- Personalize recommendations, search results, onboarding, creator suggestions, post ideas, captions, and other AI-assisted experiences.
- Process payments, subscriptions, customer portal access, transfers, withdrawals, receipts, and fraud-prevention checks.
- Send service communications such as welcome emails, security notices, transaction updates, subscription notices, notifications, and support messages.
- Protect Boomn and its users through abuse prevention, reCAPTCHA/App Check, moderation, content reports, rate limits, account security, and enforcement of our terms.
- Improve reliability, performance, accessibility, product design, analytics, and platform readiness.
- Show, measure, and improve ads or sponsored placements on eligible public and content surfaces.
Sharing and service providers
- We share information with service providers that help run Boomn, including Firebase/Google Cloud, Stripe, Resend, Agora, analytics providers, advertising providers, AI providers, hosting providers, and similar infrastructure partners.
- Public profile details, posts, events, livestream activity, creator pages, and other content you publish may be visible to other users or the public depending on the feature and your settings.
- Messages and wallet transfers may expose necessary identity details to participants, such as display name, username, transaction status, or related notifications.
- We may disclose information when required by law, to enforce our terms, to prevent harm or fraud, or as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.
- We do not sell personal information in the traditional sense. Some analytics or advertising laws may define certain sharing broadly; where required, we will honor applicable opt-out rights.
Advertising and cookies
- Boomn may show ads or sponsored placements on eligible public and content pages. We do not place ads on sensitive areas such as private messages, wallet, settings, admin, checkout, or creator production workflows.
- Advertising partners such as Google AdSense may use cookies, device identifiers, page context, IP-derived location, and similar technologies to deliver, measure, limit, and improve ads.
- Google and its partners may use information from visits to Boomn and other sites or apps to provide personalized or non-personalized ads, subject to Google policies and user controls.
- You can manage browser cookies through your browser settings and review Google ad personalization controls at https://adssettings.google.com.
AI features
- Boomn may send prompts, profile context, interests, occupations, posts, event text, or creator inputs to AI providers to generate recommendations, captions, ideas, imports, and assistant responses.
- Do not submit private, sensitive, confidential, or third-party information to AI tools unless you have the right to use it.
- AI output can be inaccurate or incomplete. You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated content before publishing or relying on it.
Your choices
- You can update account, profile, notification, and subscription settings inside Boomn where available.
- You can control camera, microphone, notification, storage, and install permissions through your browser or device settings.
- You can manage ad personalization and cookies through your browser, device, and advertising provider controls where available.
- You may request access, correction, deletion, portability, or restriction of your personal information where applicable law gives you those rights.
- You can unsubscribe from non-essential emails where an unsubscribe option is provided. Service, security, and transaction messages may still be sent.
Retention, security, and children
- We keep information for as long as needed to provide Boomn, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, enforce agreements, and maintain backups.
- We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no online service is completely secure.
- Boomn is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
